Had great difficulty getting the bike started this morning. Well, not starting, but getting going...
Ignition on, press the starter, bit of throttle, engine ticking over. Into gear, bit of throttle, let out the clutch, stall. Into neutral, start again.

On the fourth attempt, I happened to look down. I'd forgotten to knock the sidestand up. Good to know that the safety feature which won't let you ride off with the sidestand down works!
Feel a bit of a fool though. I expect Janet was twitching the net curtains as I serenely rode away, blushes hidden by helmet.

Happened to me - but I called out the AA. They didn't spot the sidestand thing, & took me to my dealer who just laughed. Things you only do once!
